Helath Benefits of Short Chain Fatty Acids

Short chain fatty acids (SCFAs) are a group of fatty acids with 2 to 4 carbon atoms. They are produced by the fermentation of dietary fiber by gut bacteria. The three main SCFAs are acetate, propionate, and butyrate.
